Two members of our team, Athina Savva and Aspasia Pallikaridou, participated in the first Dust Doctoral Network (Dust-DN) Training School, held in Nicosia from 24-28 April 2026.
Funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme, Dust-DN brings together early-career researchers and multidisciplinary expertise to advance understanding of mineral dust and its impacts on climate, air quality, and society.
During the school, they attended high-quality lectures on atmospheric and dust science, including aerosol in-situ and remote sensing measurement techniques, dust and atmospheric modelling, graphic communication planning, and outreach video editing. They also had the opportunity to visit the Cyprus Institute’s facilities in Nicosia, Orounda, and Agia Marina Xyliatou.
