Prof. Dr. Philippe Blanc is an academic specializing in meteorology for energy, Earth observation, image and signal processing, and data science. He is a full professor at MINES Paris – PSL, where he leads the Department of Energy and Processes and serves as Deputy Head of the Center Observation, Impacts, Energy. His expertise includes satellite-based estimation, resource mapping, forecasting, and metrology. Prof. Blanc’s professional background includes significant contributions to high-resolution imaging systems during his time as a research engineer at Thales Alenia Space. He is an active member of the international scientific community, participating in editorial roles, international projects, and scientific committees. With over 75 peer-reviewed publications and 10 patents, he has supervised numerous PhD students, advancing research in solar energy and remote sensing.
