SUMMARY:Webinar: Applications of GRASP/GARRLiC for Aerosol Characterization: From Ground-Based Synergies to Airborne Multi-Angle Polarimetric Observations
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an insightful webinar exploring advanced aerosol characterization using the GRASP/GARRLiC algorithm\, from combined ground-based lidar and sun photometer observations to airborne multi-angle polarimetric measurements. \n🎤 Speaker: Dr. Anna Gialitaki (National Observatory of Athens & University of Leicester)\nTopic: Applications of GRASP/GARRLiC for Aerosol Characterization: From Ground-Based Synergies to Airborne Multi-Angle Polarimetric Observations\n📅 12 November 2026\n🕘 10:00–11:00 UTC | 12:00–13:00 Cyprus time\n💻 Online link: ATARRI Webinar: Anna Gialitaki https://lnkd.in/dDyA6vc2 \nDiscover how GRASP/GARRLiC enables advanced aerosol characterization through synergistic lidar–sun photometer observations\, with applications to dust\, marine aerosols and their mixtures in the Eastern Mediterranean\, as well as ACTRIS/EARLINET network observations. The webinar will also explore the potential of airborne multi-angle polarimetric measurements and their contribution to improving aerosol retrievals. \nAbout the Speaker:\nDr. Anna Gialitaki is a post-doctoral researcher at the National Observatory of Athens and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Leicester. Her research focuses on atmospheric aerosol retrievals using polarimetric remote sensing observations. She has contributed to airborne polarimeter development and the exploitation of satellite observations\, including EarthCARE and PACE\, for aerosol characterization. She is actively involved in ACTRIS\, EARLINET and PollyNET and serves on the steering committee of NASA’s MIRA working group.\n🔗 Registration link: [ https://lnkd.in/diY2MjTv ]
