Dr. Hossein Panahifar represented the @eratosthenes Centre of Excellence ECoE-CARO team at ICAAQSE 2026 (9-11 February 2026), where he presented:
“CARO-LIM as a Regional Hub for Aerosol–Cloud–Radiation Interactions in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East”
The talk highlighted CARO-LIM’s ACTRIS-compliant infrastructure, its strategic location in Limassol, and its role in:
• Supporting the EarthCARE mission (via CORAL)
• Contributing to the ATARRI project
• Advancing aerosol research, PV impact studies & regional dust forecasting
He also served as a session chair.
Strong interest was expressed in CARO activities within ATARRI, with requests to replicate similar initiatives in the region.
