CARO at RSCY2025 conference: Advancing Atmospheric Research

The CARO team actively participated in the RSCY2025 Conference (March 17-19, Paphos, Cyprus) organized by Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, presenting groundbreaking research in atmospheric remote sensing:

🔹 Solar Irradiance Measurements – G. Charalampous assessed one year of ground-based solar irradiance data from Limassol.
🔹 Seasonal Wind Analysis – C. Chrysostomou analyzed Limassol’s wind patterns using Doppler LiDAR (presented by Dr. G. Kotsias).
🔹 HETEAC-FLEX Model – A. Savva evaluated forward model configurations for dust cases via LiDAR observations.

🔹 EARTHCARE Mission – M. Poutli detailed calibration and validation efforts in the Cyprus region.

🔹 Aerosol-Cloud-Dynamics Interaction – Dr. H. Panahifar presented CARO’s advanced instrumentation and multi-instrument platforms for studying aerosol-cloud-dynamic interactions in the Eastern Mediterranean, highlighting their role in atmospheric research and climate monitoring.

📌 ATARRI Project – F. Scarlatti presented the project’s objectives, research focus, and key collaborations, highlighting its role in advancing climate and weather research in the Eastern Mediterranean.
