On 14 January 2026, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) successfully delivered the 2nd Virtual Training on Dust Modelling within the framework of the ATARRI project Eratosthenes CARO Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence. This session focused on advanced visualisation and analysis techniques for dust modelling, providing participants with hands-on experience in:
- Visualising dust models using plotting libraries
- Combining multi-day MONARCH dust forecast datasets
- Interactive plotting tools in Jupyter notebooks
- Vertical profiles of dust concentration
- Cross-sections of dust concentration
- VT2 Workshop: Advanced visualisation and analysis of a dust event
The training further enhanced participants’ skills in interpreting dust model outputs and applying advanced analytical tools, strengthening both research and operational capacities in dust forecasting.
