On June 18, 2025, the first in-person workshop “WS3 – Solar Energy Modelling at Urban Scales” by ARMINES, PMOD/WRC, and FC.ID , organized by the ATARRI project was successfully held. This workshop marked a significant step forward in strengthening collaboration and expertise in the field of urban-scale solar energy modelling.
Hosted within the ATARRI framework, the session began with an insightful presentation of the project objectives by Rodanthi Mamouri.
A hands-on session focused on PV (photovoltaic) modelling in urban environments provided participants with practical experience and deeper understanding of simulation tools and approaches for urban solar energy applications. The workshop concluded with an engaging discussion on potential collaborations within the ATARRI project, paving the way for joint research efforts and innovative solutions. This workshop not only strengthened scientific exchange among partners but also laid the groundwork for advancing integrated solar energy modelling strategies tailored to complex urban landscapes.
